Four New Houses, Lewes

These four new houses finally won Planning Permission in February 2014 after six years on the drawing board.  This complex town-centre development, situated just off the High Street, incorporates into its basement structure a recently discovered, historically significant, C18 Grade II listed chalk-block vault for the use of future residents.  The houses are each carefully articulated to maximise the views across Lewes and the surrounding area and to provide generous stepped garden terraces and green roofs.
