Pyecombe Church Extension

This extension to the Grade I listed church at Pyecombe was heavily influenced by the existing church, utilising traditional materials, details and craftsmanship to create a building which can be read as part of the original church.

Whilst modest in size, it provided vital storage, kitchen and toilet facilities to enable to church to be used for many years to come.

The project was awarded first place in the Ecclesiastical Category at the 2015 Sussex Heritage Awards with the judges commenting that “This simple but perfectly integrated extension meets the client’s requirements whilst preserving the overall ambiance of this Norman Church.  Well detailed and beautifully built, it is a credit to the parish and to the professional team.”
