St George’s Church, Brede – South Porch beam repair

Structural repair to tie beam in South Porch of Grade I listed Church. Work undertaken by SA Spooner Architectural Joinery

BEFORE: West joint failed, beam dropped. Propped temporarily with post.

BEFORE: Timber rot and beetle infestation.

WORK IN PROGRESS: New end piece being spliced to original beam in joiner’s workshop.
